Good morning my fellow Nerds. For those who do not know, I am a member of a College Esports team. That being said, having a trusted controller is a must for me. This past month I purchased a new Scuf controller because the one that I had been using for two years finally went out on me after thousands of hours of use.
I went to my local BestBuy and bought a Scuf Envision Pro after months of saving. This controller is mostly amazing. It has remappable buttons, Four on the back, and one on each side (Left, Right) of the controller. The Envision Pro fits in my hands perfectly, with a nice grip padding. It also have five remappable G-buttons that are used as shortcuts to your favorite online programs (Discord, Steam, Chrome, you name it). My favorite feature is that I can disable certain paddles and buttons so I don’t accidently. However, the software (ICUE) that is utilized for the Scuf Envision Pro is frustrating. I have had a difficult time having my remapping save on to the controller so that it would work without ICUE running in the background. Also if the program shuts off from running in the background the controller will revert to the default setting and can cause major issues in the middle of a match or game.
Due to the the software issue that goes with the Scuf Envision Pro, I would rate this controller a 7/10 and rating it as my second favorite controller.
